Privacy Policy

SIMPAN is a utility for saving links, notes, ideas and reminders without requiring an account or login. This policy explains what information is processed when you use SIMPAN.

1. Information SIMPAN processes

Device identifier: a random SIMPAN UUID used to keep your saved data associated with the same installation without creating an account.
Saved content: titles, URLs, notes, categories, favorites, reminder times and related metadata you choose to save.
Notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token may be stored when notifications are enabled.
Link metadata: when you save a URL, SIMPAN may retrieve the page title and favicon from the original website to improve how the saved item is displayed.
Import data: backup files are processed only when you choose to import them.
Technical server logs: hosting infrastructure may generate standard operational or security logs such as request time, IP address and user agent.

2. How the information is used

Information is used only to provide core app functionality, including saving and retrieving your items, search, categories, favorites, reminders, notifications, backup, restore and export.

3. Notifications and Firebase

SIMPAN uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications when you enable them. Notification tokens are used for app functionality and are not used by SIMPAN for advertising.

4. No advertising or analytics profiling

SIMPAN does not contain advertising and does not currently use an analytics or advertising SDK to build user profiles.

5. Sharing and service providers

SIMPAN does not sell your personal data. Limited information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, such as hosting infrastructure and Firebase Cloud Messaging. These services process data to provide the requested functionality.

6. Data retention

Your active SIMPAN data is kept until you delete individual items or use Delete All My Data. Routine operational backups may retain deleted records temporarily until those backups rotate or expire.

7. Delete your data

You can permanently delete all SIMPAN data associated with the current device from Backup & Data → Delete All My Data. This removes the device record, FCM token and all saved items associated with it from the active database.

Deleting all data cannot be undone. Export a JSON backup first if you may want to restore your saved items later.

8. Security

SIMPAN uses HTTPS for communication with its backend. No system can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable technical controls are used to protect the service and limit unnecessary data collection.

9. Children

SIMPAN is not designed or marketed specifically for children.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when SIMPAN changes its features or data practices. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
